ClarkDietrich will implement a minimum price increase of 10% on all products for all markets effective July 1st, 2021
The steel market continues to tighten, and the availability of steel in June is even tighter and more costly than expected. We are taking measures to ensure we can meet all of our obligations, and today, more than ever, that comes at a higher cost. We must revise our June 1 price increase to 15%. There will also be another increase in the amount of 10% effective on July 1. All job quotes will include escalators in the same amount effective immediately.
Effective Monday, June 7, 2021, Armstrong Architectural Specialties will implement a price increase on list price items up to 10% for all Metal-based products, including MetalWorks, Suspension, Hanging Kits, Trim, Clips, and other Metal Accessories.
As a result of multiple price increases on raw materials, ClarkDietrich will implement the following price increase, effective May 3, 2021. • + 7% on Strait-Flex Wet-Stick and Wet-Flex • + 5% on all other Strait-Flex products These price changes are effective on all orders shipped May 3rd and later. A revised price sheet dated 5/3/2021 will be sent prior to the price increase date.
We anticipated an inflationary environment coming into 2021 and it has exceeded our expectations. Inflation has accelerated in several commodities like wood, chemicals, and steel while transportation costs on ocean vessels and domestic truck lines are pressing higher. As a result, we will be implementing a price increase as follows effective April 1, 2021. Marino\WARE prides itself in keeping you current on what’s happening in steel. The metal framing industry is in the throes of supply challenges like we have never seen. Besides monthly price hikes, deliveries from steel mills are getting stretched. The latest development is that the cost for steel coil in May jumped far more than expected. As a result, we must revise our May 4 price increase to 20%. This precedes the June 1 increase in the amount of 10%, which will also go into effect as planned. Our highest priority is to meet all of our obligations and remain the industry’s most reliable steel supplier. Sometimes that requires taking extraordinary steps.
