Effective with all shipments on or after May 24, 2021, CertainTeed Architectural will increase the list price on all panel products (excluding Specialties, but including Ecophon and Gyptone) up to 9%. This price increase is the result of broad inflationary pressure in raw materials, energy and operating costs.
Effective Monday, June 7th, 2021, USG will increase prices on the following products: • All Commercial and Retail Suspension Systems in the US will increase by up to 10% (including drywall suspension systems) • All USG Specialty Ceilings Suspension Systems in the US will increase by up to 10% (Includes USG & USG Ceilings Plus) Grid shipments will be managed as necessary to ensure equitable distribution. CertainTeed will implement a price increase with all shipments effective June 1, 2021. Orders to be delivered prior to the increase date must be received by May 17, 2021. The shipping date of such orders will be agreed upon between CertainTeed and each customer and could extend as far as May 31, 2021.

Marino\WARE prides itself in keeping you current on what’s happening in steel. The metal framing industry is in the throes of supply challenges like we have never seen. Besides monthly price hikes, deliveries from steel mills are getting stretched. The latest development is that the cost for steel coil in May jumped far more than expected. As a result, we must revise our May 4 price increase to 20%. This precedes the June 1 increase in the amount of 10%, which will also go into effect as planned. Our highest priority is to meet all of our obligations and remain the industry’s most reliable steel supplier. Sometimes that requires taking extraordinary steps.
